For Professionals
If you work with children and young people whose families are struggling to secure the right educational setting, I offer impartial advice on specialist and therapeutic provision across the UK. Depending on whether you need a school-search report for tribunal or placement guidance for clients, we’ll provide timely, expert support focused on the best outcomes for young people.
Independent advice
Because I’m not tied to any local authority or school, I can give parents advice that’s completely independent. By carefully looking at professional reports, I help make sure the school named in Section I of an EHC (or equivalent plan) is the right fit to meet a child’s needs.
Client Profiles
- Autism, autism spectrum conditions, Asperger Syndrome
- Emotional and/or social difficulties
- Learning challenges such as dyslexia or SpLD
- Sensory or physical impairment.
For Solicitors
With experience supporting families, we can help answer parents’ concerns and provide the emotional reassurance they need, freeing solicitors to focus on the legal work.
We work flexibly and to tight timescales, helping parents make confident decisions during appeals. We also ensure continuity of expert reports by recommending trusted diagnostic professionals.
Alongside SEND cases, we have supported medical negligence and insurance claims involving life-changing injuries, and am familiar with the guidelines in England, Wales, and Scotland.
For Diagnostic Professionals
I’m always happy to hear from speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and other professionals supporting children with learning challenges who may need help finding the right specialist setting.
We also welcome opportunities to broaden the network of trusted diagnostic professionals I can recommend to families seeking reports for an EHC needs assessment.

FAQ's
We have hopefully answered any questions you have on how we can work with professionals, but if not – please get in touch, we’ll be happy to help!
Who do you usually work with?
We work alongside solicitors, barristers, case managers, and diagnostic professionals supporting children and young people with additional needs, including acquired brain injuries. Our role is to help families and professionals navigate complex educational arrangements and ensure a child’s needs are clearly understood and supported.
What is your role within a professional team?
We act as a bridge between families, schools, diagnostic teams, and legal professionals. This includes:
- Coordinating reports and information from multiple professionals
- Translating recommendations into clear, practical educational support
- Supporting families through complex processes
- Managing deadlines and action plans
Our goal is to reduce pressure on other professionals while ensuring the child’s needs are fully represented in educational planning.
Do you have experience with case managers and insurance arrangements?
Yes. We are experienced in insurance-funded cases and working closely with case managers. We understand the importance of agreed budgets, clear communication, and providing evidence-based reports to support funding decisions.
How do you use diagnostic reports?
We review all recommendations within diagnostic and professional reports and use them as the foundation for school searches and EHCP planning. This ensures that the evidence included in the EHCP aligns with the schools we identify, so any placement recommended is fully equipped to meet the child’s needs.
Can you help with EHCPs?
Yes. We support EHCP assessments, reviews, and amendments by:
- Collating evidence from professionals
- Identifying gaps or areas for strengthening
- Suggesting wording that accurately reflects the child’s needs
We do not provide legal advice, but we work closely with legal teams to ensure educational elements are clear, detailed, and defensible.
Are your recommendations independent?
Absolutely. We are fully independent, not tied to any schools or services, and provide all new clients with a list of legal professionals to choose from. We welcome the opportunity to broaden our network, helping families make informed, confident decisions.
How do you handle tight deadlines?
We are experienced with tribunal timeframes and urgent cases. When time is limited, we focus on:
- Clear task planning
- Efficient information gathering
- Keeping all professionals updated
This ensures processes continue calmly and effectively, even under pressure.
How do you stay child-centred while working with professionals?
Even within legal and professional frameworks, the child remains at the centre. We make sure recommendations are realistic, practical, and focused on long-term outcomes, not just paperwork.
How can professionals engage your services?
We accept referrals from legal or diagnostic professionals and can be engaged directly by families or as part of a wider professional team. We clarify scope, timescales, and funding arrangements upfront so everyone knows what to expect.
Do you collaborate with existing professionals?
Yes. Collaboration is central to our work. We support and complement the work of existing professionals to provide a joined-up, coordinated approach, ensuring the best outcomes for the child and family.
